With the appearance of  the internet, the music market has suffered  many changes.
It's useful for producers to help their artists to be known internationaly but at the same time, they deplore it, because of the development of the illegal ways to get music, their lost of profit are not negligible.

In the list in the link bellow, do you know and use some of the sites on which you have to pay to download music ?

When did the physical sells of CDs began to decrease ?
(if this link doesn't work, please click on this following one : )

After reading this text, answer the following questions:

-How many people admit to download music illegaly?
1)8/10 2) 6/10 3)1/10

-Who proposed the first music subscription?
1)Virgin Media and Universal Music 2)Virgin Media and EMI 3) Universal Music and Sony Music Entertainment

What is the principle of the « peer to peer » ? Can you name 3 applications ?
Go to this website to check the answer :

Even though internet permitted to download music illegaly, music labels still use internet to promote their artists. For example, the French website, « My Major Company », asks to Internet users to subsidize the artists they like to produce their album.
Which other famous labels can you find on the internet ?

To conclude, we can say that despite the methods used by the labels to obtain music legally, people are not ready to pay for what they can have freely. Governments begin little by little to create laws (like the Hadopi laws in France) permitting to reduce the illegal downloading and then to help the labels recovering its health.

HADOPI LAW - Badlou, Billottet

Subject: Illegal Downloading - Hadopi and You

Introduction:

The HADOPI law or Creation and Internet law is a French law (introduced during 2009) which aim to control and regulate internet access and the sharing of illegal files. Many people are concern by the illegal downloading in one hand the author, artist or owner of any copyright and in the other hand the internet user. But is it possible to control something like the Internet

Questions:
-What is the first link you found when you type «hadopi » in google ? Do you think that this website has a large impact ? Why people continue to download illegaly?

-Do you use illegal downloading? For what kind of thing ? (images, literature, music, movies and software ?

-What kind of thing do you think the majority of the Internet user use  illegal donwloading?
You can use the link:

- According to the website , is there an other technological product who make a polemic ?
Read this debate on the link :

-What does Musicians think about the subject ?
Look this website and read it :

- According to you, do you think this kind of law stop illegal downloading ?

conclusion :

To conclude with this Group project , we can see that Hadopi has been created to stop a  phenomen of society .
Before this phenomen we can show that before Illegal downloading , it was Recording tape video who was illegal and make a Polemic.
France wants to show the  good example   by creating Law like this. However , To  get the law more efficient , France doesn't have to regulate Internet on his own.
France have to be helped by all countries by creating a new worldwide organization  for instance .
